Emil's initially opened in December of 2001 as a casual, fine dining restaurant. Chef owner, Georges Martin and his wife, Tammy dreamed of bringing fine quality dining to the middle Tennessee area. From day one Emil's was labeled by the community as a "French restaurant" and Chef Georges as a "French Chef". While Georges is indeed a native of France and was indeed trained in France, his culinary expertise spans all cultural and social boundaries. Actually, Chef Georges specializes in fresh food prepared honestly with consistency, elegance and love. From the classic half pound American burger to the southern boneless fried chicken with milk gravy to the more French inspired mussels in white wine and garlic broth Georges will prepare each dish with sophistication.
In March of 2012, partially in an effort to convince the community that Emil's is indeed a casual, comfortable, family-friendly restaurant, Georges and Tammy began an extensive renovation project. In addition, to rebuilding the kitchen by replacing the very aged and sagging floor and replacing the roof and damaged siding, the dining rooms were updated with vibrant current colors that brighten the entire atmosphere and really "lighten" things up (the dining rooms and the mood)!
Emil's Bistro & Marketplace
The renovation project became a gateway for launching a new concept - Emil's Bistro & Marketplace - casual, fun and sophisticated dining without intimidation! Our new Bistro menu is available for lunch and dinner and offers customers a great variety from light and casual to more substantial and sophisticated! In addition to our new Bistro menu, Chef Georges continues to feature fresh fish specials and whole Prime Rib Roast on Thursday and Friday evenings!
